Why spin instead of hitting a button?

A plain "random number" button asks you to trust the code. A spinning wheel shows the result landing live. For giveaways, raffles, or anything watched by other people, this is harder to argue with and more fun to film. The slices get thin when you have a hundred of them, but the tick sound while it spins and the winner popup keep the result readable.

Thin slices are fine

A hundred-slice wheel gets thin, but every number is still equally likely. Each has a 1% chance per spin. Across 1000 spins you expect each number to land around 10 times. The animation keeps a smooth tick sound and the winner popup makes the result readable even if the slice itself is tiny. For an even faster experience with large ranges, consider the d100 dice roller.

Giveaway and raffle use

Instagram and YouTube giveaways often ask people to drop a number between 1 and 100 — then draw a winner from that pool. The wheel does both halves: pick a number live, show it stop, and if the number matches a comment that person wins. Click "Remove winner" to drop drawn numbers out for a multi-prize draw.

Not just 1 to 100

Clear the entries and paste any custom range or list. 1-200, 1-1000, 100-500 (odd ranges), or named options with numbers attached. Save your custom wheel to localStorage so you don't have to rebuild it next time, or copy the share link to pass the exact setup to a co-host.

FAQ

Can I pick a different range, like 1 to 1000?

Yes, paste any list into the editor. The wheel handles very long lists; slice labels shorten automatically.

Can I remove a number once it has been drawn?

Yes. After each spin, click "Remove winner" in the popup. Great for raffles without replacement.

How fair is it?

Each number is picked using crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling. Over hundreds of spins each number lands within a percent or two of its 1-in-N share. Not formally audited for regulated lotteries, but far beyond fair for giveaways, classrooms, games.

Can I embed this?

Yes. Hit the Embed button in the editor, copy the iframe snippet, paste it on your site or stream dashboard.
